Well, I managed to get through the rest of the week.
Yesterday I went to English classes at a church with a co-worker (who so thoughtfully took me). I need to learn the alphabet so that I will be able to actually know what is going on. I will also be able to read what I bought and know how to cook it (hopefully)! anybody know how to use a gass stove top burner? I have yet to completely figure it out.
After lessons, we went for lunch (meals are a very social event here and you should always try to eat with somebody). I had Kim-bop. which is some stuff that you get in a bowl. I found out after I started eating it that you are supposed to mix it first! Quite humorous. I then went shopping.
I went to a big department store which is about a 7 min walk from my apartment. it is 6 or 7 stories. I was walking around and bumped into two people I knew from college! What an intersting experiance!
This place is huge I did some shopping and only saw a quarter of the place. I am excited to go back when I have money.
Today I went to the church where I had my Korean lessons. It was really good. It was an English swervice and there were not alot of people, but it was enjoyable and we had a meal afterward so I got to chat with some of them.
Tommorrow I am back to work with 8 classes to teach. I am a bit nervous and hope that I can keep my classes interesting and that the students can actually learn something.
My old roomate should also arive this week so next weekend I can hopefully go see her!
I would love to hear from you guys!

Well thanks for the look at Saturday and Sunday.
We are excited that we could communicate with you on Skype.
Friday, in preparation to talk with you, we purchased a new web cam and set of speakers. All Friday night we played with these trying to get them to work.
The web cam cam with a bonus headset (earphone and mic on a cord). I had been under the impression that there was microphone on the web cam but no such luck.
As we were going to chat early on Saturday, we hooked up one ofr the microphones that I had purchased for my sterio system when i was 16.
Saturday morning everything worked! It was wonderful to have Krista's face on the full screen and a small screen on the side indicating what she was looking at.
It was also nice that both Bets and i could be in the conversation at the same time.
Krista, have a great week and we will talk and write again later this week. Dad.
I would LOVE it if you would come visit me when I get there! I'm going to need some help getting around I think...and we can go exploring together too. My plane leaves in less than 12 hours now...and after an almost 14 hour flight I will be in Seoul.
Wow Krista!!! You are so brave!!! While I was reading your blog I thought to myself that its a good thing God put people like you on this earth, people who are able to go to a place, not know anything or any of their surroundings! Sounds like you are having an intense, but good time! God bless and i will be praying for you:) Love Irene
KRISTA! Sounds like you're having a great time and catching on quickly! Soon you'll be a pro and you won't want to leave!! This was great to read, so thanks - i'll keep reading to stay updated! Stay safe and have lots of fun! Love, ash
