At the park we went to in
Daejeon over the weekend, there were tons of beautiful lotus flowers and l
ily pads!

We went on those swan boats where you have to peddle and this is the view of the park.

This is the name of the park. The first sound is P-something, the second sound is l-something, the third sound is g-something, the fourth sound is something-n. I am having a hard time with
Korean vowels because the sounds don't
translate exactly into
English.

This delicious food is
samagoesy (spelling is way off) covered in pine needles. No you don't eat the pine needles, but they give it flavor. It is basically a heavy rice dough
surrounding a kind of brown bean paste. They taste pretty good.

This is a traditional
Korean game where you throw four sticks. and each stick has two sides, one blank and the other with markings. If they land certain ways, you can move so many spots and you play with two teams.
There is a strategy, and it is quite fun.

The rice cakes covered with Pine needles is called Seong peon (the only reason I know this is because I had my students as their parents how it is made and the correct spelling).
Krista,
Just spent some time catching up on your summer so far. Sounds like you are having many great experiences, and that the Lord is using them to refine your faith and build you up. We continue to keep you in our prayers!
In His love,
Karin
