Two weeks left in May and one more month, and I will be finished in Korea. Where does the time go? Sometimes, it just speeds by. I spend a lot of time reflecting on what I've learnt in this very unique culture, as well as how my friends and I have changed. Most are for the better, but unfortunately I can't say all the changes are for the better.
I have seen God's grace these past few weeks, though. He has given me energy when I needed it, taken away the severest of the pain when I needed to be teaching and gave me co-workers who help with the little things like photocopying and scooting me to work. This past week I got a sty in my eye from some pine needle thing, so my eye was quite swollen. It happened to be the same eye as my hurt foot, so when I walked into the office I set all the teachers to laughing. I had just told them that if I lived about 500 years ago, I would have been a pirate, and now I looked like one, though I refused the eye patch they were going to make me:)
But, thankfully my boss took me to an eye doctor and that all cleared. I stopped using crutches on Monday and hobble around, though now I can walk with almost no problem. The health care is really cheap here, so that is amazing. Oh, and if you ever travel, get travelers insurance! would be smart.
This past weekend Kyoung Hee, a friend from college, came to the city and visited with Jennell, Steph and I. We had a really good time hanging out in Lotte World, an amusement park, hotel, department store, theater and many other things. We played pool and generally had fun.
This next weekend a bunch of friends from church are going to Everland, a huge outside amusement park in a valley, so that promises to be an exciting Saturday.
I keep forgetting if I have mentioned this, but after I am done in Korea, I am planning on heading to Perth, Australia to live with Sara and Brendon for about six months, or so. I have a working visa, so I will find a job there and see how it goes.
Hope all is well with you. God bless, and find happiness in every circumstance!
