Well, with the New Year came a new attitude.
I have recently realized that I am actually living my life.
I am no longer just waiting for my year here to be finished. Not that I have stopped planning for later, but that I am actually living, content if you will.
Yes. It is true. You can have just as real a life in Korea as you can in Canada.
I wish I could properly convey what I am thinking right now, but as usual, words fail me. I don't feel like I am getting across the importance of what has changed in me.
I have been very joyful here, and very culture shocked in a bad way, but now I feel like this is me. My home? (Yes, mom and dad, i feel like Canada is still home as well).
I am working less and i have a life of my choosing. Though I don't always make good choices of what to do with my time, I am choosing!
New Years Eve I went to Lotte World after work and then we went for supper and a church service. The service was 10:30pm-1am. First time I have been in church over new years. I think it was a good service, it was all in Korean so I have no clue!Today I watched the World Juniors, Canda vs America at a Canadian tavern.
Saturday I will go to Jennell's and spend time with her, sleep over till Sunday and head to church with her. I will be attending her church for a month as well as a Bible study. I am rather excited. The Pastor there is quite engaging and really actually makes me think. And he uses the Bible! haha, imagine that! Anyway, my other church here has been a bit hmm...how to say it...disappointing in the preaching department. The English service pastor is only partime so he has less time to prepare sermons and such. The people there are great though! I really love hanging out with them! They are a godly bunch and lots of fun!
Well, thats about it for now, I will see if I can find anymore pics.
Hope all is well! Once again don't be afraid to send a note this way:)
