Lunar New Year

This picture pretty much sums up my friend Amy who took this pic. Long Blond hair in Korea...sticks out like crazy. Well, this weekend was Lunar New Year so we had Monday and Tuesday off of work.
On Monday we went to a Festival held in a traditional village. It was quite neat to see the different dolls, food, and dances. I spent the whole weekend with friends from college and it was quite a good weekend. Now it is back to work and it will be busy until the end of Feb. when the kindy kids graduate.
This Sunday I went to my friends church. The minister there preached on the Fools house and the wise mans house. It was quite the wake up for how I had been living. He pointed out that reading the Bible and going to church is not enough for living for God. We need to live our whole life for Him. We need to be worshiping God with our whole life. I realized I hadn't been doing that. The minister really woke me up and gave me hope...When he was preaching he was talking about two paths, a foolish one and the rock one. I got a mental picture of me running down the foolish path, knowing the wise path was beside me, but just not being able to get there. There was a big wall that I was running beside and I kept checking it trying to get through it. Well, I was just about panicking, when this bird came down and picked me up by my clothes at the shoulders. Well, I had to hang limply while it lifted me up, moved me over, and set me down on the wise path.
It was quite the mental picture! It really gave me hope and I believe a message from God: He is the only one that can save us, but as the sermon says, we also need to live our life from God. Being saved is more then knowing about God. It is spreading God to those around us because He is everything our life is about. Quite interesting stuff, and I hope that this is a permanent change, and not just temporary.
Anywho, hope you are all doing well! Lots of love! God bless!
