It has been awhile. What has been up?
Well, I taught an extra 24 classes than the maximum you must work before overtime, in the month of September. This helped me to afford a few extra things. For starters, I bought a new Kodak camera. The pictures shown from now are from that camera unless otherwise stated. I also got my hair magic-straightened. This means it will be straight until my roots grow in. Every time I see myself in a mirror or a picture, it is a huge shock, but it is fun to do something different.
We have two new teachers at our school this month, so they have been learning new things and it has been a good review what is going on and what I teach.
Today we celebrated Canadian Thanksgiving at church with a turkey dinner. It was quite good, and also hilarious. I have never in my life eaten mashed potatoes, turkey and stuffing with chopsticks before. It was quite delicious and was finished off with a pumpkin pie.
After dinner we walked around Olympic Park. It is a huge park with a swimming pool, gym, stadium and more. There are tons of rivers, paths and green areas. We came to a basketball court and were watching some people playing. A lady handed us a ball so we could play for a bit. That was really nice. Then we took the bus home and there was an old man who was yelling at us for about 15 minutes and all we could understand was the word foreigners. So you get both ends.
This week we will be taking the kindie kids for a field trip to Everland, a huge amusement park. It should be fun and stressful. I have never been there before, but I have gone to the amusement park by my house before. It is quite fun to go on rides like the gyro drop and bungee drop and a huge roller coaster. It looks like Disney and I promise pictures soon.
Well, here to joyful thoughts and contentment with what we have!
God bless!
